About Big Agnes

Big Agnes has been designing comfortable and lightweight sleeping bags, pads, and tents in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, since 2001. Though it is a young company, Big Agnes has already earned a reputation for reliability. Big Agnes combines innovation and comfort to create the ultimate backcountry experience. With an incredible landscape in their back yard, inspiration for Big Agnes’ gear comes directly from the rugged landscape of Colorado. Each sleeping bag, pad, and tent is named after a local geographical feature.

Big Agnes is a small company strongly committed to the manufacture of environmentally and socially responsible products. They offer several products made with up to 100% recycled content materials and their offices and warehouse are powered by 100% wind power.

Big Agnes sleeping bags and tents have garnered recent awards from Backpacker, Outside, National Geographic Adventure, and Men’s Journal magazines, including awards recognizing their “green” products. In June 2004, Backpacker Magazine said of Big Agnes, “Simply put, the coolest name in the biz.”
