The Big Agnes Amber SL 30° Women's Down Sleeping Bag is a superlight, technical sleeping bag designed for women. Like all Big Agnes Sleeping Bags the Amber uses The Big Agnes integrated pad and sleeping bag system. You'll want to use a mummy shaped Big Agnes pad in either the regular or petite size. The Amber is great for backpacking when high quality, lightweight and comfort are key. The Amber has been updated for 2011 using Big Agnes’ Flow™/Insotect Construction System which prevents your insulation from shifting while you’re in the bag. No more waking up in the middle of the night falling off your pad and freezing! Once you match your bag with a rectangular sleeping pad of the appropriate dimensions (any 20” wide pad), spending a night in the Amber SL 30° Down Bag is both warm and comfortable. - Flow™ Construction: Insotect Flow™ is a flow-optimized insulation system that delivers uniform heat distribution and natural body contouring through its revolutionary baffle design. Flow Construction eliminates lateral and vertical down shifting by using vertical chambers with Flow Gates to regulate fill positioning and density. Strategically placed Flow Gates minimize vertical down shifting while vertical chambers minimize lateral shifting. With continuous vertical Flow chambers in place of traditional side seams, Flow bags eliminate potential cold spots which can occur with side seams. Vertical baffles now flow with your body for more rapid and uniform body heat distribution.
