The Distance FL is built with durable lightweight aluminum. Because it features both Black Diamond's compactable Z-Pole technology and FlickLock® adjustability, it truly is the ultimate in a trekking pole. The Black Diamond Distance FL is ideal for everything from backpacking to short day hikes. 20 cm of adjustability let you tweak the length for whatever terrain you encounter - whether you are sidehilling and changing inclines. Based on Black Diamond's avalanche probes, Black Diamond's speed cone deployment employs a coated inner cord and conical shaft ends for quick and strong alignment. The Distance FL Z-pole includes a lightweight EVA grip with mini extension for quick choke-ups on steep inclines, as well as interchangeable tips for variable trail surfaces.
