 Crescent Moon Gold 13 Women's Snowshoes The Gold 13 is as close to the perfect all-around snowshoe as we've yet encountered. Crescent Moon's SPL (single-pull-loop) binding couldn't be easier to put on and adjust...and it releases with a single tug and pinch. No wonder Crescent Moon won the 2010 Editor's Choice Award for "best binding" from Backpacker magazine. We also like that the Gold 13 is PVC free, manufactured with wind power, and all left over materials are recycled. With the Gold 13's brilliantly colored frame, Crescent Moon has got it right!
Crescent Moon was the first snowshoe manufacturer to design a women's specific model and series of shoes to accommodate the differences of a woman's stride. The Gold 13 features a frame which has been bent with a very steep nose and tapered tail to allow the shoes to pass by each other - so you don't have to change the way you normally walk. With each step, the shoes will clear away from each other within the distance of your own natural stride. Like all Gold Models, Crescent Moon's SPL binding fits and forms around your feet and provides a great connection between you and your snowshoes.
