The ACT Zero 50+15 backpack utilizes the suspension and adjustable harness system on Deuter's Aircontact series and weighs a feather-light 3 pounds 6 ounces. With the use of an integrated, extendible spindrift collar that provides a full storage capacity of 3950 cubic inches, the Deuter ACT Zero 50+15 is ideal for overnight or weekend outings. The experienced, ultra-lightweight devotee can even consider using the ACT Zero for multi-day excursions.
The ACT ZERO pack is based on the idea that it's easier to carry heavy loads when the backpack and wearer form a single entity. Using Deuter's Aircontact System, the ACT ZERO relies on the compression and expansion of hydro and thermo-phobic Aircontact foam to provide ventilation and load-carrying comfort. An anatomically-profiled X-frame system in the ACT Zero 50+15 offers a balance of rigidity and flexibility, distributing weight more precisely. Further enhancing fit, Deuter's Vari-Quick harness system adjusts easily to accommodate varying torso lengths. A strongly woven strap "ladder" in the back of the pack allows you to select the desired position for optimal comfort and load distribution. Soft, breathable fabrics and ventilated pads in the back, shoulder straps and hipbelt further help to keep you cool and comfortable on the trail. Side compression straps enable you to reduce and expand the size of the pack body as needed, further securing contents and ensuring stabilization of the load.
The pack body of the ACT Zero 50+15 backpack is a single, large compartment. Internal and external zippered pockets on the lid of the ACT Zero 50+15 provide access to further storage. A large elastic front stash pocket offers convenient, easy-access storage for gear or extra layers of clothing. Other special features of the ACT Zero 50+15 include trekking pole loops, ice axe loops and top lid attachment rings. Two large side mesh pockets allow for transportation of gear or water bottles and a lined internal pocket, built-in tube exit point, and tube clip on the shoulder strap make the ACT Zero 50+15 hydration compatible. An informative SOS panel is imprinted on the underside of the lid, providing valuable instructions for emergency situations.
