Deuter's Fox 40 looks and performs just like a backpack for adults. A tad bigger than the Fox 30 backpack, this pack will carry a good amount of gear but is designed to fit a kid-sized body. With the same technical design and well thought out functions of the Deuter Aircontact trekking backpacks, the Fox 40 backpack is perfect for young explorers on extended adventures, scout camp, or your child's next sleepover or extended trip to granma's. And the Fox 40 virtually grows with you child thanks to the carry system that uses the Vari-Quick back length adjustment.

About the Deuter Alpine Back System Used on this Backpack:
- Load adjustor straps on the shoulder straps and hip fins serve to fine-tune the load according to the terrain: loose for more ventilation and mobility; tight for more control and a more compact fit.
- Removable insulating sitting mat stabilises the back.
- Anatomic hip belt with bilaminate foam for comfort, flexibility and weight transfer.
- Contoured, comfortable 3D Air-Mesh lined shoulder straps.
- Two padded foam stripes that provide carrying stability and comfort with "chimney” effect ventilation between the stripes. The breathable 3D AirMesh is used on all points of contact, and is very durable.
About the Materials used in the Fox 40 Backpack:
- Deuter-Ballistic: High density woven polyamide 420 denier fabric with high strength and lightweight makes it especially suitable for Trans Alpine and Aircontact packs. PU coating. Shiny finish.
- Deuter-Ripstop 210: Ultra-tight weave, hard wearing 210 Denier Nylon. Recognisable by the very technical, shiny surface incorporating tough Ripstop threads. This lightweight and extremely robust fabric is perfectly suited to the manufacture of lightweight products. Top quality PU coating. This highly technical material is used for lightweight Alpine and Trekking models.
