 Heading out on a trek ladies? Then take this pack with you! Boasting a ventilated, high-performance suspension system, torso length adjustability and a long list of features, the Deuter Futura 45+10 Vario SL Women’s Backpack is well-equipped for weekend and multi-day backpacking trips.
As women's backs are not, on average, as long as men's, the SL carry system is slightly shorter than that of Deuter's standard backpacks. The hipbelt has been given a more conical shape to provide a proper anatomical fit. The shoulder straps of the SL packs have been set closer together, are narrower and shorter in length, and have smaller buckles and narrower tapered strap ends to prevent chafing under the arms and eliminate pressure points in the chest area.
The Futura 45+10 Vario SL Women’s pack combines the Aircomfort Back System with Deuter's Vari-Quick harness system. A strongly-woven strap "ladder", the Vari-Quick harness system allows you to select the desired position for optimal comfort and load distribution. The Aircomfort Back System, consisting of a lightweight PE frame sheet and preformed aluminum stays, provides stability and flexibility, adding tension to a mesh back panel. Moist air can freely escape through the space created between the pack body and your back, preventing heat build up. Soft, breathable fabrics and ventilated pads in the back, shoulder straps and Vari-Flex hipbelt further help to keep you cool and comfortable on the trail. Load-lifter straps, and shoulder and lumbar padding further aid in the effective distribution of weight throughout the pack. Side compression straps enable you to reduce and expand the size of the pack body as needed, further securing contents and ensuring stabilization of the load.
A zippered divider between the Futura 45+10 Vario SL Women's pack’s main compartment and front entry sleeping bag compartment allows for organization and separation of wet and dry gear. When hauling longer items or in need of access between the two compartments, you can unzip the divider and convert the Futura 45+10 Vario SL Women’s pack to a single, large compartment. The main compartment has top loading access and in addition, a large, U-shaped front zipper enables you to quickly put hands on gear and or clothes without having to dump out the entire contents of your pack. An integrated, extendible spindrift collar protects the interior of the packbag and increases the pack's full capacity to 3300 cubic inches.
A large front zippered pocket offers additional storage. Side bellows pockets and internal and external zippered pockets on the Futura 45+10 Vario SL Women's pack’s extendible lid provide further storage options.
Other special features of the Futura 45+10 Vario SL Women’s pack include ice axe/trekking pole loops, top lid attachment rings and an integrated rain cover for protecting your pack against the elements. Two side mesh pockets allow for transportation of water bottles and a lined internal pocket, built-in tube exit point, and tube clip on the shoulder strap make the Futura 45+10 Vario SL Women’s pack hydration system (sold separately) compatible.
