Lowe Alpine backpacks were born in 1967 in the Colorado work shed of climber Greg Lowe. Though Lowe Alpine has since expanded to become an international company, they retain Greg's vision and enthusiasm. Among the Lowe Alpine staff you'll find backpackers, rock climbers and alpinists, mountain bikers and skiers, trail runners and canoeists. At Lowe Alpine, they choose to innovate rather than follow the crowd. In their book, function comes first and if that means creating an entirely new concept then so be it.
