From Osprey's humble beginnings building custom backpacks and sleeping bags in Santa Cruz California, to their current recognition as an industry leader in innovative design and benchmark quality, the flight for Osprey Packs, Inc. has been long, eventful and filled with change. Today they are sixteen dedicated outdoor enthusiasts based in Cortez, Colorado, an area between the rugged 14,000-foot San Juan Mountains and the breathtaking canyons of the desert Southwest. One thing hasn't changed - when you buy an Osprey pack you are purchasing the vision and creativity of Osprey owner and head designer, Mike Pfotenhauer.
